Sir John Gielgud - Prospero's Books - The Tempest - 233 sec
Peter Greenaway's Fellini-esque vision of "The Tempest," by William Shakespeare, is a must-own film that bears many repeated viewings. John Gielgud reads every part, with other voices overlayed for various characters. The dreamlike, lush atmosphere of the movie frames the timeless language of Shakespeare in it's intended setting of incantation, ritual, and sensuality. There's a lot of nudity in the movie, but it's incidental - the real star is Shakespeare himself - this is Peter Greenaway's loving tribute.

Robin Williams leaving the Gielgud Theatre - 161 sec
The Gielgud Theatre - London, England Thursday 13th November Robin Williams began his first of two sell out nights at The Gielgud Theatre, When leaving he shows the same level of patience and kindness as he did the night before in Wimbledon, he went that extra mile tonight and posed with a baby boy, surely a memory he will treasure when he grows up and learns of it. a great story for his friends. Robin signed my dvd cover and even offered to sign my picture without me even asking. A great actor in all genres and a brilliant comedian, he is a true legend.

John Gielgud & Edith Evans: The Importance of Being Earnest - 394 sec
John Gielgud & Edith Evans as John Worthing and Lady Augusta Bracknell in the famous 'handbag' interrogation scene in the play by Oscar Wilde I feel Edith Evans' portrayal far superior to that of Judi Dench's, although I haven't heard or seen Maggie Smith's performance in the role which I am sure equalled or surpassed even that of Dame Edith.
