| Ghanaian Cuisine Workshop in Cape Coast Ghana, West Africa - 125 sec
Cooking with Esi in Cape Coast, Ghana, at her restaurant "Be Nice & Rich." Esi will teach you how to make fried plantains, red red, palava sauce, boiled yam, groundnut soup / stew and of course, fufu. Noticing there were a lot of people around, she decided to make an impromptu Fante style chicken soup too.
About the ingredients, from left to right in the first still: yam, three ripe plantains, cassava, one unripe plantain, yellow African eggplant, purple onions, curry powder, Adobo seasoning, African spinach, palm oil, and a can of tomato paste. Somewhere around there are a bunch of Maggie cubes, which are essentially shrimp flavored bullion cubes. There was also fresh garlic, ginger, a couple of tomatoes, peanut butter, and cooked black eyed peas. I will get more specific on how we combined all those things in a future post. :-)

The isolated community of Mosomogor is on the border of Kakum National Park. Rangers for the park are stationed in Mosomogor and can be hired to take individuals or groups on explorations into Kakum. Mosomogor created the jungle canopy treehouse in order to attract visitors to their eco-tourism project. The guides are diligent and knowledgeable, as evidenced by their understanding of the different varieties of trees in the forest. As in many parts of Ghana, the jungle around Kakum has been degraded by agriculture and the felling of trees for profit. Kakum is an example of what a large part of the Ghanaian countryside looked like before agriculture and commercial logging changed the ecosystem dynamics.

The stability and the security in the Northern Iraq are threatened by a Ghanaian diplomat selling arms to the Kurds, who plan to use them against the Turks. As a response to the actions of the Ghanaian diplomat, Turks try to eliminate him while he is on his way to a congress in The Hague, Netherlands.
Uluslararası diplomaside karanlık ilişkileri anlatan Ganalı Diplomat, altı şehirde geçen siyasi entrikaları konu alır. Ganalı bir diplomat Kuzey Irak'taki Kürtlere silah satmaktadır. Bu durum Kuzey Irak'taki dengelerin değişmesine sebep olur ve dolayısıyla Türkler Ganalı Diplomat'ı ortadan kaldırmak için çalışmalara başlarlar. | Profile of famous Ghanaian artist Wiz Kudowor - 208 sec
Born on September 19th 1957, Wisdom 'Wiz' Kudowor studied at the College of Art, University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He graduated in 1981 with a first class honours degree in fine art. 'Wiz', one of Ghana's premier and well-regarded contemporary artists, may be thought of as a trans-cultural visionary. His work simultaneously draws on and pushes beyond fixed spaces and identities in a dynamic search for unbounded universal truths. He has designed and executed public works in Ghana including a relief mural at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. His works are widely held in both and public collections worldwide.

| UNICEF: Ghanaian celebs sing of "Clean Water" - 133 sec
ACCRA, Ghana, 10 January 2008 -- To mark World Water Day in March of last year, a song called 'Clean Water' was recorded by two of Ghana's most popular musicians, Rocky Dawuni and Samini. Produced in collaboration with UNICEF, the song drew attention to the plight of people in need of safe drinking water.
Now, as people in Ghana continue to recover after devastating floods, Rocky Dawuni and Samini have re-recorded the song into four local languages in an effort to reach people living in more rural, flood-affected areas.
Since last August, UNICEF and its partners have been supporting the Government of Ghana's efforts to provide flood-affected families with safe water. However, children still remain at risk of getting sick from diarrhoea or Guinea worm due to improperly filtered or contaminated water.
"These local language versions will have bigger impact on people," Mr. Dawuni said in an interview with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) children's channel.
