Not many arias become legendary: "Di quella pira", "Largo al factorium", "Sempre libera", "La donna e mobile", "Laschia ch'io pianga" are only a few examples. Rossini's most famous piece for the human voice surely was "Una voce poco fa". The great "divalegacy.com" website lists about 30 versions of the aria, but the list goes on forever, so famous the song has become. Recently I have checked my opera collection and found out that I have 20+ versions of the air, so I decided that it was high time I hosted a contest/survey. "How to end an opera?" That was surely one of the quetions composers asked themselves in the good old days (circa 1800s). The possibilities were endless, but the most "popular" opera ending certainly was an aria for the heroine: Anna Bolena, Amina, Elvira, Zoraide, Elena... This is only a short list of opera heroines, who get the final word in their respective operas. Rossini's La Cenerentola also ends with a final aria for the title heroine. Angelina's "Nacqui all'affanno" is a wonderful example of the rondo aria form: it starts with a gentle cantible, where there is much room for expression, and ends with a brilliant cabaletta, that was used by Rossini two times before "La Cenerentola". "Frederica a verdade maior que o corpo" é um espetáculo que transporta para o espaço cênico a atmosfera do universo esquizofrênico. Construído após dois meses de pesquisas em hospitais psiquiátricos, diálogos informais com pacientes, familiares e médicos, estudos baseados em publicações especializadas e debates envolvendo iniciados e leigos no assunto.
A encenação de Frederica é executada em um salão onde caibam de 50 a 100 pessoas, acomodadas em cadeiras localizadas no perímetro da sala, formando uma arena. Uma das características fundamentais desta encenação é o público, que faz parte do elenco da peça. A direção conduz a esta igualdade entre atores e público, para que sintam a peça pela experiência de cada um. O público conversa com os atores, toma vinho, janta, é colocado em circunstâncias que forçam sua influência na atmosfera e ritmo do espetáculo.
