The FCC Song - 92 sec
Well everyone else has done their little versions of this song, so I figured it was my turn. Shame on me for circuming to conformity. But anyways, I hope it doesn't reek too badly. This was probably the fastest I've ever put together a video. Sorry about the thing at the end... I've been itching to put that image to that song for the longest time. EDIT: As of late, some people are making political complaints on my video. People, it is no secret that most people don't like the FCC for one reason or another. So do not use my light-hearted video as an excuse to make politcal comments. Cartoons are some people's escape from politics, so kindly leave it that way. Please do not post political comments on my video.

"The FCC Song" Music Video--Song by Eric Idle--UNCENSORED - 139 sec
In an era after that of Monty Python, Eric Idle wrote a song ("The FCC Song"), currently hosted at http://pythonline.com/plugs/idle/index.shtml, that mocked, among other things, modern music and the language included therein, as well as the infamous organization responsible for censorship, the FCC. The publically-hosted song, ("Here's a little song I wrote the other day while I was out duck hunting with a judge... It's a new song, it's dedicated to the FCC and if they broadcast it, it will cost a quarter of a million dollars.") contains the F-Word 14 times. Mountain Top CCT created a music video around this song, with the cusswords reentered. All pictures on this video are either taken from Google Images or modified images from Google by Mountain Top CCT. Fox Television v. FCC (2006) - 3728 sec
2nd Circuit Court of Appeals 12/20/2006, C-SPAN Program ID: 195903-1 From C-SPAN's Description: Oral arguments were heard by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in the case of Fox Television v. Federal Communications Commission. Fox Television was challenging the FCC's indecency standards and the way it punished broadcasters for airing shows that contain profanity. The network argued that the government violated the First Amendment by embarking on a "radical reinterpretation and expansion" of its power to punish broadcasters for indecent speech. The network contended that the FCC sharply changed its standards for profanity, that the standards were vague and made little sense in the face of industry changes. The FCC fined Fox for language used by Cher and Nicole Richie on the live broadcasts of the 2002 and 2003 Billboard Music Awards, respectively. Language used may offend some viewers.

The FCC X Files-Tony Tafoya Newspaper Editor - 479 sec
Tony Tafoya, who is the editor and prints the newspaper "Musica", gives comments at the FCC hearing in Austin, TX in September 2006. Tony speaks about how issues of Tejanos and events in the local Hispanic community are not covered by the local media, including the Spanish television/radio stations. Tejanos are of Mexican descent from people who lived in Texas when Texas was still a part of Mexico. He speaks how expensive it is to buy radio ad spots at $200.00 a spot, which is out of reach for small and minority owned businesses. The FCC is currently looking at the rules on media ownership. These rules determine how many radio, TV and newspapers one company can own in one city. The Big Media companies want these rules relaxed so they can own more stations/newspapers in the same city. To file a complaint/comment on this issue with the FCC, go to fcc.gov This clip was for San Antonio Public Access TV. Produced by 411 Productions.
