A bot getting 100% (FC) on Through the Fire and Flames with a final score of 983,802.
So there the FC everyone's been looking for. The star power path may not have been perfect but it was at the very least decent. As you can see the bot is also able to use the whammy bar to help maximize it's score.
For those that don't know, a bot (short for robot) is a device/program that will automatically play Guitar Hero based on how it was programmed. This bot was made by modifying an Xbox 360 controller and wiring it up to a microcontroller.
FAQs:
Q: How long did it take to build this and get it working?
A: I had something functional (see last video) in around 1 week. To get this fully working, it took around 2 months of working on it on and off.
Q: What system is this for?
A: This is for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero 3 (although untested, it will most likely work for GH1 and GH2 also)
Q: Do you play on Xbox Live?
A: I have an Xbox Live account however I have NO plans on taking this bot on there just for the sake of cheating the high scores.
Q: Why would you build this to cheat?
A: The challenge of this project was making a Guitar Hero playing robot, which I assure you was anything but easy. The point was not to cheat, but to build a functioning robot, at which I feel I have succeeded.

A: I built it.

A lot of people have requested I make a video of the bot doing The Devil Went Down To Georgia. I would be willing to make this video, however, I would need a copy of the note chart for this song. Because it is DLC, I can't get a copy off the DVD of the game. If anyone has access to their Xbox 360 Hard Drive and is willing to send me the file I need, please private message me. This is a compilation of the more superior shortcuts. It requires a high consistent of patience and aim.
Shortcut difficulty:
1. Mushroom Gorge 7/10 - Get to a certain position like I did on the video, and boost just before you hit the off-road. Now before you go off the edge, quickly press jump while turning left.
2. Toad's Factory 6/10 - Drift slightly to the right before hitting the bump and quickly do a trick. Try not to drift too much or you'll crash into the water.
3. Grumble Volcano 9/10 - Make sure to angle your vehicle until you can see the gap clearly. You need to be careful not to hit the mountain while approaching it. Extremely risky but worth it.

4. GBA Bowser Castle 3 10/10 - The hardest of the bunch. Why? Because it comes down to luck when trying to get into a certain position, and anybody could possibly crash into you. Anyway, the best way to do it is to boost towards the upper-left ramp. Very rewarding if succeeded.
5. N64 Bowser's Castle 5/10 - Make sure to line your vehicle towards the narrow platform. It would be best not to go too far on the right in case you fall into the lava. Easy once mastered.

people are asking me the same questions over and over, so reading this should help answer a lot of the generic ones. Still, I appreciate the comments/views and stuff, don't get me wrong.
Check out the rest of my videos if you want to. I do music videos for a part-time-professional job, so that's what most of my work on here is.
So i've still got my 8th drumset; after this batch of videos, it's unfortunately taken a turn for the worse, but before it did I got this video of Won't Get Fooled Again.
Also, you might notice that my pedal has a metal covering: i'm using the "Mega Pedal" metal plate from www.megapedal.com : it adds weight to the pedal which makes it easier to use, and it hugely increases the stability of the stock RB pedal.
You might want to hold out for thier full-pedal conversion instead of just a plate, though.
So, yeah, it's not a gold star. The Gold Star cutoff for this song is around 378,000 if I remember: still, the score in this video is 5th place for this song on the Xboxlive leaderboards.
I actually screwed up on a lot of stuff I don't normally screw up on, and I nailed a lot of stuff I don't normally nail, so I guess it was an even tradeoff.

So I got my 6th new drumset; it's pretty damned bad, so I invented yet another mod, and got this video of me playing Blackened on Expert. I can definitely improve on this: it's definitely gold-starrable.
And yes, at :43, i'm mimicing the guitar player, because it was just something stupid to do.
