If I had to choose my favorite piece of music for the human voice, it would undoubtebly be Solveig's Song from Grieg's "Peer Gynt". It's in the deceptive simplicity of the piece where lies the beauty. But, strangely enough, of all the versions available there is not one which seems to be the ultimate version. Even Lucia Popp's version, good as it is, is lacking something. The present recording doesn't feature any singers at all, replacing the singer with violins. It remains my favorite version of this song, as it somehow manages to capture each strand of Solveig's sorrow. I hope you will enjoy this :-)!

Here I've added personal aerial photos taken of the beautiful Lyngen Alps near the Norwegian Arctic City of Tromso. I them on a scheduled flight from Kirkenes to Tromso with low sun angles that gave wonderful red colours on the deep winter mountain snowfields.
On this recording, Morning - by Edvard Grieg, is played by transgendered musician Denise Hewitt on a vintage Technics PR60 Digital Keyboard in Synthesised Piano Mode.
