| KS Gov Kathleen Sebelius' Democratic Response to SOTU - 591 sec transcript: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/01/28/politics/main3762263.shtml
"I'm Kathleen Sebelius, Governor of the State of Kansas.
And I am grateful for the opportunity to speak with you tonight.
I'm a Democrat, but tonight, it really doesn't matter whether you think of yourself as a Democrat or a Republican or an Independent. Or none of the above.
Instead, the fact you're tuning in this evening tells me each of you is, above all, an American, first.
You are mothers, and fathers. Grandparents and grandchildren. Working people and business-owners. Americans, all.
And the American people - folks like you and me - are not nearly as divided as our rancorous politics might suggest. [...]
We are Americans sharing a belief in something greater than ourselves, a nation coming together to meet challenges and find solutions; to share sacrifices and share prosperity; and focus, once again, not only on the individual good but on the common good.
On behalf of the new American majority - the majority of elected officials at the national, state and local level, and the majority of Americans - we ask you, Mr. President, to join us. We are ready to work together, to be the America we have been - and can be once again.
Thank you for listening. God bless and sleep well. And in the morning, let's get to work."

| Democratic Apocalypse - Zimbabwe - 350 sec May 2008
With the second round of voting set for 27th June, anyone known to support the MDC or to have voted against Robert Mugabe is in real physical danger.
Violence towards opponents of the ruling Zanu PF government increases every day. Hundreds were beaten while "an estimated 31 people were killed...and tens of thousands intimidated and forced from their homes." Many now seek sanctuary in the MDC's headquarters in Harare; but for the staunchest opponents of the regime there is no safe haven. With their few possessions they flee to neighbouring countries and wait for the violence to end. I AM SO PISSED! I cannot believe that these gutless Democrats, a party that I have supported faithfully with MY time, MY sweat, and MY money, is rolling over for President Bush and giving him license to TRASH the Constitution! Below are listed the members of the Democratic party who have betrayed OUR TRUST and they should be opposed in the next Democratic primary. They work for us! We didn't send then to Washington D.C. to 'Go Along' with this War Criminal President!
The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act or (FISA) was a system that allowed a President to use all the resources that he or she needed to combat terrorism, with a judge overseeing the program and issuing a WARRANT. The President could have listened in on who-ever he wanted to for 3 days but it was required that he GET a WARRANT from a FISA JUDGE! It is the only oversight that we had on this out-of-control- President and it created a paper trail that guaranteed that the Presidnet WAS NOT listening in on AMERICAN CITIZEN'S PHONE CONVERSATIONS AND VIOLATING OUR RIGHT TO PRIVACY AS PROVIDED FOR IN THE BILL OF RIGHTS!
President Bush has been illegally wiretapping from 2001 to the present, instead of bringing charges of impeachment for high crimes, THESE Democratic party member voted to GIVE President Bush the law that he wanted, that retroactively made all of his domestic spying crimes LEGAL. I expect this treachery from the Bush administration, but to have MY Democratic Senators and Congressmen CAVE IN TO THIS PRESIDENT'S ILLEGAL DEMANDS TO REWRITE THE FISA LAW IS INEXCUSABLE!
These are the 16 Democratic Senators who supported President Bush's RAPING of the Bill of Rights. They voted FOR Bush's amendments to the FISA law.
1) Evan Bayh- Jr Senator from Indiana
2) Tom Carper- Jr Senator from Delaware

| The Denver Group: Keeping the Democratic Party democratic - 221 sec The Denver Group
http://thedenvergroup.blogspot.com
The Denver Group was formed to insure that the Democratic National Committee respect and carry out the democratic process at the convention in Denver this August by meeting certain specific goals. They will be advocating, and if neccessary pressuring, through purchased mass media as well other accepted avenues, the Democratic National Committee to see to it that these goals and the interests of tens of millions of Democratic voters are met.
Their goals are:
* An open convention.
* Senator Clinton's name on the ballot
* Speeches allowed by supporters of Senator Clinton on behalf of her candidacy.
* A roll call vote.
* No coronation
The founders of The Denver Group are Heidi Li Feldman (http://heidilipotpourri.blogspot.com) and Marc Rubin (http://tominpaine.blogspot.com).
Heidi Li Feldman also works, independently of The Denver Group, for the cause of retiring Senator Clinton's debt. Her blog is "Heidi Li's Potpourri"
