| CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE on CAPITAL CHAOS 2008 - 388 sec CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE @ The Boardwalk~Orangevale, CA 02/16/2008 also on the bill were SONATA ARCTICA * AT DAWN Conducting From The Grave formed in the fall of 2003 from members and ex-members of local Sacramento bands With Passion, Promising Tomorrow and others. http://www.conductingfromthegrave.com/ By mid 2004 a solid line-up had been established: John Abernathy on guitar, Gregory Donnelly (formerly of Promising Tomorrow) on drums, Jeffrey Morgan (formerly of With Passion) on guitar, Philip Williamson on bass, and Shaun Gier (guitarist of With Passion) on vocals. http://www.myspace.com/conductingfromthegrave In October 2004 Conducting From The Grave released their first recording, a 4-song demo entitled "Breathe The Blackened Sky." Then in early 2005 Shaun had to leave the band to dedicate more time to his other band (With Passion) who had just signed to Earache Records. Shaun was quickly succeeded by new vocalist Drew Winter (formerly of Murder at Hand). http://capitalchaos.net/ By this time they had established a significant following in Northern California and were ready to hit the studio in preparation for the April 2005 release of their debut EP, "Trials Of The Forsaken". Conducting From The Grave then spent the summer of '05 touring the US in support of the release. When the band returned home Phil Williamson decided to leave the band to persue personal interests. In the following weeks Conducting From The Grave decided to part ways with Drew Winter as well. Drew then went on to become the vocalist for Debello Castrum. In the process of searching for new members, the band discovered that their good friends With Passion had also recently suffered a severe loss of members. Due to the bands having shared some of the same members previously, John Abernathy, Jeff Morgan, and Greg Donnelly decided to join forces with Michael Nordeen and Shaun Gier (the two remaining members of With Passion) to form a new line-up as With Passion on Earache Records...
...Now, 2 years later, John, Jeff and Greg have decided to leave the ever-struggling band known as With Passion. Drew, John, Jeff and Greg have all agreed to reunite the band. Steven Lovas, whom filled Michael Nordeens shoes in With Passion after his departure, has joined the band on bass. The band is currently writing new material and brushing up on the old stuff. The band is expected to resume fully around November 2007. Auteur : capitalchaos Tags: CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE With Passion Death Metal Screamo Alternative Rock Unsigned Indie |

| Conducting Practicum 3 - 81 sec A few thoughts before I dismantle this - first, people who stumble across this may chide me for not being any more expressive. That's not the point - I can be as expressive as I want, have all the gestures in the world, but if I can't be clear about basic things, it won't make half a difference.
Second - as to why I use such little joint motion when I could easily get away with conducting with a mostly wrist and finger with a little elbow, it's about the basics. If I can't get a good clear pattern with my largest, most awkward joint, and if I program myself to always use wrist, what will happen both if I need wrist and don't have any more to use, or if I really need a dead motion and I can't get rid of my wrist motion?
Thirdly, sorry about the video quality; I'm still trying to get this codec figured out. Message me if you _really_ want to know the problems I'm having encoding these.
What I fixed :
*head-bobbing to a degree
*posture by a little. more on this later
*I'm not giving as much of an elbow click this time every time I hit my ictus table
*I'm making eye contact better, but not directing my beats at any one person. Aah well, one step at a time.
What I need to fix :
*I'm starting to compensate posture by leaning my head inwards. This should be fixed soon, if anything, to fix what will quickly become chronic tension in my upper back.
*My right wrist is pointing outwards. BAD WRIST! Not only will that give me bad stress all up and down my arm, but it's not too clear - think about it, is the baton easier to see when it's pointed at you, or slightly away? When do you see more of the bright white shaft?
*speaking of the shaft of the baton, sorry about not being able to see it against the backdrop of the wall. I'll think of something to do about that
*If you notice how high my baton is coming up between beats 2-3 and 3-1, it's about as high as my downbeats. It should only be about half. Back to ingraining this into my memory, one beat at a time.
*When I first set myself up, I do this funny "snap to position" thing. I've got no idea what that is.
*My left hand is starting to float, too. Bugger.
*I don't know what it is about the malko exercise and wanting to give this huge "thunk" every time I switch directions, especially at the end. Is this taekwondo jumping in? Master Lee, is that a kind of block that I never learned?
======
The exercise you see at the end is the Malko exercise number 1, and its purpose it to try and get an even motion and to have no change of speed except for at the very end. I'm not terribly successful - I get a bit of extra push at the front end - but it's something to work on. Auteur : sirgregsalot Tags: Conducting Class |

| US conducting criminal operations in IRAN - 293 sec The cat is out of the bag. US special forces are conducting criminal operations in IRAN. I say criminal because it goes against international laws. If Iran was conducting kidnappings and bomb attacks in the US and paying American journalists to write propaganda in US newspapers, IRAN would be condemned a terrorist state. The US has proven itself and continues to do so as the biggest terrorist state in the world. The US is acting exactly in the same manner towards Iran as it did in 1953. Look up Operation Ajax. Also look in my profile, there is a link to a leaked 2004 US special forces manual. This manual shows how the US military conducts its terrorism all over the world. The US government must be stopped by any means necessary. If the US acts likes terrorists, then do not be surprised to have terrorist acts committed against it.
