Berkeley Bionics Human Exoskeleton - 272 sec
Berkeley Bionics™, designs and manufactures lower extremity exoskeletons to augment human strength and endurance during locomotion. Berkeley Bionics exoskeletons increase wearer's strength while decreasing their metabolic cost of walking. The company is also attacking the technological barriers to a practical, affordable exoskeleton for civilian and medical applications, particularly to assist patients with neurological or muscular mobility disorders. These powered human exoskeletons would allow their wearers to walk upright without the strain and muscular effort required by today's unpowered orthotic devices.

Bionic Six - Intro - 60 sec
We are so proud to be, a super future family. A family brought together by fate, and given super powers through the miracles of modern science. Bionic Six. Bionic Six was an animated television series from 1987 produced by TMS Entertainment and distributed by Studios USA and MCA Television. The main character, 'Bionic-1', was a machine-enhanced human being using bionic technology, much like The Six Million Dollar Man. On one of Bionic-1's missions, his family had traveled with him and got buried alive under radioactive snow. The only way to save them was for Professor Sharp to implant bionic components. Each of the family members was given a specific Bionic Power, and they formed a team called the Bionic Six. Jack Bennett was a test pilot who enjoyed cooking. His codename was Bionic-1 and his powers included super sight, optic beams and enhanced hearing. He was voiced by John Stephenson. Mother-1 was the codename of Jack's wife, Helen Bennett, and she possessed psychic powers. She could also create optical illusions/holograms. She was voiced by Carol Bilger. Eric Bennett was the blond, athletic son. His codename was Sport-1 and his power was electromagnetics. He could attract or repel metallic objects with tremendous force. This force was directional and by varying the shape of his hands or using one or two arms, Sport-1 could adjust the strength of attraction/repulsion. He frequently used a baseball bat. He was voiced by Hal Rayle. Jack & Helen's only daughter was Eric's twin sister, Meg Bennett, a somewhat ditzy girl who loved music. Her codename was Rock-1 (as in "rock and roll") and she could shoot sonic beams from out of her shoulders. She could also run at incredible speeds (even faster than the rest of the team). She was voiced by Bobbi Block. JD Bennett was Jack & Helen's intelligent, adopted African-American son. He enjoyed boxing. His codename was IQ and he had super-strength and super-intelligence. (JD was the only member with a codename that didn't include the number 1.) He was voiced by Norman Bernard. The last Bennett, Bunji, was Jack & Helen's foster son. He was placed under their guardianship after his own father disappeared. Bunji was a cute, but troublemaking, Asian-American karate enthusiast. His codename was Karate-1 and he had martial arts skills and speed (made more formidable with his bionics). He was voiced by Brian Tochi.

World's First Bionic Hand - VOA Story - 45 sec
Touch Bionics, developer of the world's first commercially available bionic hand, today announced that its i-LIMB Hand and ProDigits partial hand prostheses are now generally available and have been successfully fitted to a significant number of patients across the United States and in Europe. Touch Bionics' i-LIMB Hand looks and acts like a real human hand and is the world's first widely available prosthetic device with five individually powered digits. In another industry first, Touch Bionics' ProDigits product is adapted for patients who have a partial hand, due either to congenitally missing fingers or fingers lost through an accident. Partial hand is an area of prosthetics that has been without suitable powered products in the past. The i-LIMB Hand and ProDigits will be formally unveiled later this month at the 12th World Congress of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics in Vancouver, Canada. But Touch Bionics' technology is already changing the lives of patients with its prosthetic products, working with leading U.S. clinical partners including Advanced Arm Dynamics, Benchmark Orthotics and Prosthetics, Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics, LIVINGSKIN and Scott Sabolich Prosthetics and Research. Sergeant U.S. Army (ret'd.) Juan Arredondo of Universal City, TX, who lost his hand in Iraq in 2004 after his patrol vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device, is one patient who today is living a different life after being fitted with the i-LIMB Hand. The technology behind the i-LIMB Hand has come of age after many years of research and development at Touch Bionics. The i-LIMB Hand offers a unique, highly intuitive control system that uses a traditional myoelectric signal input to open and close the hand's life-like fingers. Myoelectric controls utilize the electrical signal generated by muscles in the remaining portion of a patient's limb. This signal is picked up by electrodes that sit on the surface of the skin. Users of existing, basic myoelectric prosthetic hands are able to quickly adapt to the system and can master the device's new functionality within minutes. For new patients, the i-LIMB Hand offers a multi-function prosthetic solution that has never before been available. Touch Bionics has developed a custom cosmesis, or covering, for its products. i-LIMB Skin is a thin layer of semi-transparent material that has been computer-modeled to accurately wrap to every contour of the hand. For those patients who desire a more life-like appearance for the hand, Touch Bionics has partnered with some leading companies in the development of cosmesis for its products. ARTech Laboratories and LIVINGSKIN work at the forefront of high-definition cosmesis -- these companies are collaborating with Touch Bionics to offer patients a life-like solution to compliment the life-like motions and performance of the hand. The i-LIMB Hand and ProDigits products are being shipped today and patients are being fitted at all of the clinics mentioned above in addition to other US clinics, as well as at Touch Bionics' new state-of-the-art facility in Livingston, Scotland.

[S1][P17] Bionic Commando Rearmed [HTSF] - 591 sec
[How To Successfully FAIL at Bionic Commando Rearmed] Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bionic_Commando_Rearmed Released: 14th of August, 2008. Platform used: PC Recorder used: Fraps Notes: I stumbled across BCR being released today only yesterday, much to my glee (as I hate waiting on games being released, hence I try not to pay attention to release dates).. I played the original Bionic Commando back in the old amstrad/c64 days.. nothing hardcore (lol) but i've fond memories, so I was eager to see how good a remake would be and for 15 bucks (10 on XBL, bleh?) I was sold.. It's a shame they chose direct2drive over steam.. i've no idea why, as the achivements could have been easily (and usefully) implemented on steam. As I mention at the beginning video, i'm not a fan of anything involving fileplanet's piss poor download speeds (i'd hazard a guess it's fine for anyone in America, but it outright blows for everyone else). Luckily, the games only 250 meg so it wasn't too painful only getting about 1/15th of my max speed through direct2drive. Sort it out, Fileplanet. Anyway, this was recorded about 2 hours after the PC release, and the set finishes after clearing half of the map screen (which no doubt isn't exactly half of the games overall duration, but it seemed a fitting point to finish). Impressions so far? Pretty fuckin sweet.. the core gameplay was always good, and all the additions they've made are just that.. additions. Anything added enhances the game, as opposed to changing it wildly, making it both a loyal and fresh remake that looks as good as you could ask for in a platformer. Expect this completed before the weeks out. Enjoy! -OTG

Bionic Commando - GC 2008: Trailer - 89 sec
PS3,Xbox 360,PC Release Date: TBA One of Capcom's all-time great franchises returns with this re-envisioned modern version of Bionic Commando. Continuing the story 10 years later (with slight modifications to character names in the re-envisioned story), gamers are once again playing the role of Nathan Spencer (aka "Rad" Spencer), a highly decorated government operative that distinguished himself in battle against a group known as the Imperials. However, Spencer finds himself betrayed by his commander known as Super Joe (who Commando fans should easily recognize). With his bionic arm removed and Spencer imprisoned for crimes he didn't commit, the warrior is sentenced to death. However, on the day that he's going to be executed, an experimental weapon is detonated in Ascension City by a terrorist group called Bio-Rain. With the city in ruins and the terrorists in control of tons of weapons, Joe has no choice but to offer Spencer a deal: if he will take on and defeat the terrorists, Joe will clear his name. Gaining a new bionic arm, Spencer leaps into action.

[S2][P18] Bionic Commando Rearmed [HTSF] - 596 sec
[How To Successfully FAIL at Bionic Commando Rearmed] Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bionic_Commando_Rearmed Released: 14th of August, 2008. Platform used: PC Recorder used: Fraps Notes: The game proceeded as smoothly as the first set, bar some minor secret tunnel difficulties (more practice needed). It took a real fuckin sharp turn downwards though on the last level/boss.. the Albatross takes like 20+ minutes until yer practiced enough to get through it all in like 15 mins, meaning everytime you fail that last boss, it's ANOTHER 20+ minutes till yer back again! What's worse is, I spent like 3 hours and only hit the bastard TWICE.. I finally killed him once, in a non commentary practice run, but then died during the escape sequence (don't ask how) lol. So, I cut out all attempts after my first attempt, then recorded a successful run the next day, and bolted that right after the first attempt. Apologies if you'd have actually wanted to watch 3 hours of fail, but it just wasn't worth my time to render, or your time to watch :] Plus I couldn't even store all that Fraps footage, and I needed to make that montage you saw before this set. All in all, I fuckin loved this game.. I have a serious love for all things grapple hook, jetpack or double jump centric and BCR fulfilled one of those requirements flawlessly. Best soundtrack in a game i've heard in years. Fantastic graphics.. runs well and looks MORE than great for what it is. Responsive controls. Even though I complain a fair few times (as have some reviewers), the control flaws are with the player solely, not the game.. it takes time to master that hook and it's somewhat fiddly 'mid swing' mechanics such as pressing down+hook to shoot the hook forward, even though a forward hook would be forward+hook when standing on a floor. All the new enhancements were done flawlessly.. they updated and refined a game while keeping the game the same, yet far superior to the original.. not an easy task. Price tag is a little annoying for the PC version vs XBL, but it's not a huge ammount of cash extra, and apparently the PC version will get extra challenge room content (but I bet XBL users do too, so we'll see about that). Game length? About 6-10 hours on normal difficulty, with 2 harder difficulties and a LOT of challenge rooms.. you can easily squeeze 20+ hours outta this game, but with that previously mentioned price tag, you scarely need to.. you get yer moneys worth on just one play through lol. All in all, a great old game got some great new justice. I can't imagine any old school platformer fan not enjoying this, and even if you didn't, you're only 10-15 bucks lighter. 9.2/10 Enjoy! -OTG
