Passport Whisky's Street Art Campaign brought British artist Julian Beever to Porto Alegre, Brazil, in December, 2007. Julian, worldwide known as "Pavement Picasso", developed his 3D art basically made out of chalk draws on pavements surfaces. In this video you will be able to check the three days he spent on his painting, being recorded the whole time.

Julian Beever is an English chalk artist who has been creating trompe-l'œil chalk drawings on pavement surfaces since the mid-1990s. His works are created using a projection called anamorphosis, and create the illusion of three dimensions when viewed from the correct angle.
Besides this pavement art, Beever also paints murals and replicas of the works of masters and oil paintings, and creates collages. He works as a freelance performance artist and creates murals for companies. He has worked in the UK, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Spain, the U.S. and Australia.

O artista inglês Julian Beever, frequentemente chamado de Pavement Picasso (Picasso do Asfalto), se especializou em criar desenhos tridimensionais em calçadas e ruas. Sua técnica de projeção é conhecida como anamorfose e vem sendo usada por ele desde meados dos anos 90. Esta técnica cria uma ilusão de ótica em terceira dimensão quando a imagem é vista a partir de determinado angulo.
Os desenhos são minuciosamente projetados e executados de forma precisa. Em média, o artista leva cerca de três dias para completar uma obra.
