Ayatollah Montezeri was Khomeini's heir apparent until he turned his back on the revolution he helped found. Despite the threats, he's continued to rail against Iran's government.
"Until the government rethinks what it is doing to this country the situation is really dangerous", Ayatollah Montezeri states. He was stripped of his political inheritance, branded a traitor and heretic and placed under house arrest after he questioned his old friend Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Montezeri believes all violence is Unislamic. "There were no political prisoners during the reign of our prophet". He calls for diplomatic relations with America and has spoken out fearlessly against the government's crushing of dissidents. "It makes me laugh when I hear the press say we respect human rights in Iran. It's a joke".

آية الله العظمى السيد محمد حسين فضل الله 1935 مرجع دين شيعي ولد في مدينة النجف الأشرف في العراق ويقيم الآن في لبنان ترعرع السيد فضل الله في أحضان الحوزة العلمية الكبرى في النجف وبدأ دراسته للعلوم الدينية في سنّ مبكرة جداً ففي حوالي التاسعة من عمره بدأ بالدراسة على والده وتدرّج حتى انخرط في دروس الخارج في سنّ السادسة عشرة تقريباً فحضر على كبار أساتذة الحوزة آنذاك أمثال المرجع الديني السيد أبو القاسم الخوئي والمرجع الديني السيد محسن الحكيم والسيد محمود الشاهرودي والشيخ حسين الحلي قدّهم وحضر درس الأسفار عند الملاّ صدرا البادكوبي وقد كان السيد فضل الله من الطلاب البارزين في تحصيلهم العلمي في تلك المرحلة ويُذكر في هذا المجال أن السيد محمد باقر الصدر قد أخذ تقريرات بحث فضل الله إلى السيد الخوئي لكي يُطلعه على مدى الفضل الذي كان يتمتع به هذا الأمر الذي انعكس فيما بعد ثقة كبيرة من المرجع الخوئي تجاه السيد فضل الله فكانت وكالته المطلقة له في الأمور التي تناط بالمجتهد العالم وقد أثر عن السيد فضل الله أنه كان من الأوائل البارزين في جلسات المذاكرة حتى برز من بين أقرانه ممن حضروا معه فتوجّهت إليه شرائح مختلفة من طلاب العلم في النجف آنذاك فبدأ عطاءه العلمي أستاذاً للفقه والأصول ثم بدأ بعد ذلك بالتدريس العلمي حيث أصبح أستاذاً للفقه والأصول في حوزة في النجف الأشرف وقد شرع في تدريس بحث الخارج منذ ما يقارب العشرين عاماً ويحضر درسه العديد من الطلاب من شتى أنحاء العالم الإسلامي عموماً والعربي على وجه الخصوص

Now we have the same situation, their conspiracy against Islamic Republic fails.
But, (Arab states) must be awakened not to be deceived by enemies (U.S & U.K.)
Iran's power in science & technology and in social levels belongs to Muslim world & it will be a heavy weight in Muslim world.
Nuclear Energy, which considered a native achievement and cause of proud for Iranian nation, is a proud for Muslim world.
U.S, U.K & some Arab states efforts & discussions to sanction Iran & prevent it to reach nuclear technology in order to comfort Israel, is a political mistake by Islamic states.
They must proud of us & know this power is theirs. With no doubt, Iranian nation never neglect its right.
Iranian officials have no right to abandon this matter.
