Athens is the largest and capital city of Greece, located in the Attica periphery, and one of the oldest cities in the world, with a recorded history of at least 3,000 years.

Ancient Athens was a powerful city-state. It is widely referred to as the cradle of Western Civilization[5] and the birthplace of democracy[6], largely due to the impact of its cultural and political achievements during the 5th and 4th centuries BC on the rest of the then known European continent.[7]
The heritage of the classical era is still evident in the city, portrayed through a number of ancient monuments and artworks; the most famous of all the Parthenon on the Acropolis, standing as an epic landmark of western civilization. The city also retains a vast variety of Roman and Byzantine monuments, as well as a small number of remaining Ottoman monuments projecting the city's long history across the centuries. Landmarks of the modern era are also present, dating back to 1830 (the establishment of the independent Greek state), and taking in the Greek Parliament (19th century) and the Athens Trilogy (Library, University, and Academy).
Athens was the host city of the first modern-day Olympic Games in 1896, and 108 years later it welcomed home the Summer Olympics, with great success.[

Ενώ ο απελπισμένος, αποτυχημένος και ολοσχερώς και αμετακλήτως καθημαγμένος Γιωργάκης - αφελής, αδέξιος και κουτοπόνηρος συνένοχος και συνυπαίτιος όλων των ζοφερών εγκλημάτων της 20ετούς πράσινης λαίλαπας - περιέρχεται τις διάφορες «παρεούλες» των... ατέρμονων κομματικών «συνεδρίων», «συμβουλίων» και... «εκλογών», ο Μεγάλος και Άξιος Ηγέτης της σύγχρονης Ελλάδας, ο Πρωθυπουργός της Χώρας Κώστας Καραμανλής, απέδειξε για μια ακόμη φορά γιατί οι Έλληνες Πολίτες, στην συντριπτική τους πλειοψηφία, εξακολουθούν να ελπίζουν ότι εκείνος θα οδηγήσει την Ελλάδα σε διέξοδο από τα εφιαλτικά αδιέξοδα του Χθες.
Γιατί, ίσως να μην το έχουμε καταλάβει ακόμη, αλλά ακόμη - 4 χρόνια μετά... - ο δημόσιος βίος της Χώρας μολύνεται και ταλαιπωρείται από την κακοσμία και τον ερεβώδη απόηχο της σοσιαληστρικής διακυβέρνησης της μίζας και αρπαχτής, που - όπως εύστοχα τόνισε ο Πρωθυπουργός - στα χρόνια του ΠΑΣΟΚ δεν ήταν απλώς ένα παρασιτικό φαινόμενο κάποιων κομματικών οπορτουνιστών εγκαθέτων, αλλά «επίσημη κυβερνητική οδηγία», καλυπτόμενη πολλές φορές ακόμη και με νομοθετικές ρυθμίσεις της πρασινοπλειοψηφούσης Βουλής!!!
Κανείς δεν αμφιβάλλει ότι το σκάνδαλο SIEMENS είναι μια αμιγώς «πράσινη» υπόθεση, με τουλάχιστον δύο ήδη καταγεγραμμένες περιπτώσεις, η μία εκ των οποίων με ευθεία ομολογία του εμπλεκομένου πρώην «στρατηγού» Τσουκάτου! Και όμως τα media των νταβαντζήδων της πρασινολάγνου διαπλοκής προσπάθησαν - ανεπιτυχώς τελικά - να επιβάλουν επικοινωνιακό συμψηφισμό και σύγχυση ευθυνών αναφερόμενα επί δύο σχεδόν εβδομάδες με το ιδιωτικό και από τον ίδιο εξ ολοκλήρου πληρωμένο ταξίδι του Υπουργού κ. Μιχάλη Λιάπη. Και αυτό με προφανή στόχο να πλήξουν άμεσα και ύπουλα την προσωπική εικόνα του Πρωθυπουργού «εμπλέκοντας» ένα στενό συγγενικό του πρόσωπο...
Όμως, άλλο τα «ανέκδοτα» της πράσινης δαιδαλώδους και πολυδιαπλεκομένης μιντιοκρατίας για το αν ο κ. Λιάπης πήγε οδικώς ή με... αεροπλάνο από την μια πόλη στην άλλη (θαυμάστε κατάντημα δήθεν «δημοσιογράφων»!!! Σκέτο εφιαλτικό και αποτρόπαιο καρακατιναριό μέχρις εσχάτου αηδίας και απαξίωσης!!!) και άλλο η ξεκάθαρη ομολογία μίζας και αρπαχτής του Τσουκάτου ή τα «σημειώματα» του στενού συνεργάτη του πρώην πράσινου Υπουργού Μαντέλη που αφορούν χορό εκατομμυρίων ευρώ! Όχι, για να μη νομίζουν οι άθλιοι καναλάρχες και τα «δημοσιογραφικά» τσιράκια τους ότι θα μάς επιβάλουν όλους μαζί σε μαζικό υπνωτισμό και λωβοτομή, ώστε να μην μπορούμε να διακρίνουμε την τρίχα από την... τριχιά!
Εκείνο πάντως που προκαλεί θυμηδία και θλίψη μαζί για το χαμερπές κατάντημα του υπό προθεσμίαν «αρχηγού» Γιωργάκη είναι η εναγώνιος επιμονή και προσπάθειά του να μάς... πληροφορήσει ποιος είναι (καί θά είναι!!!) ο Πρωθυπουργός της Χώρας!!! Δεν ξέρω γιατί, αλλά το γέλιο είναι αυθόρμητο και απροσποίητο, ειδικά όταν έχεις να κάνεις με ένα ηγετίσκο που κάθε φορά που εμφανίζεται για να «καταγγείλει» την «κακή κυβέρνηση Καραμανλή» μοιάζει σαν τον μπόμπιρα που μόλις ξύπνησε και διαπιστώνει με τρόμο και απόγνωση ότι πάλι... κατουρήθηκε στον ύπνο του...
Απέναντι σ' αυτό το ένοχο, αδιέξοδο, φοβικό και μίζερο ΠΑΣΟΚ της διαπλοκής, των σκανδάλων και της μίζας ευτυχώς ο Κώστας Καραμανλής και η Νέα Δημοκρατία παραμένουν η μοναδική ελπίδα αυτού του τόσο βασανισμένου από τα «πράσινα άλογα» της «Αλλαγής» και του «Εκσυγχρονισμού» τόπου!
Όσο για την Αριστερά... Θλιβερός κομπάρσος χωρίς θέσεις, οράματα, προτάσεις και συγκεκριμένες, ρεαλιστικές και εφαρμόσιμες λύσεις... Μια ψήφος πραγματικά χαμένη... Στην πραγματικότητα μια μή-ψήφος...
