They show, in sequence, a being in a various positions, seated, nearly erected, in seemingly painful physical conditions although this may be only an anthropomorphic impression. The being seems to have small dimensions, rather sturdy, with the skin that in some instantaneous ones appears burnished and thick and in last photograph, completely red, moisted, with the aspect of a badly wounded skin. The photos were published in the weekly magazine "Visto" n. 43 on 28 October 1993, and then produced on TV during the program "I Fatti Vostri" ("Your facts") on Friday, November 5, 1993, hosted by Giancarlo Magalli. The first photo showed a small shadow, as Caponi stated. The effect of the mysterious combustion of the two first pictures, altering the zone where the being was, resulted in this. May 24, 1993. The first investigation was headed by the CUN and consisted of several inspections, interviews of Caponi and his relatives and the answers to their questions to other indirect witnesses. At the end of the investigation, they had a detailed report on the case but drew no firm conclusion whatsoever. Yet there seems to be no way to differentiate if these contradictions and omissions are simply caused by the confusion between investigators, and the stress put on Caponi who was literally sieged by Italian and foreign journalists as his photographs were just published in a weekly Magazine in Milan. Essentially, the story told by Filiberto Caponi was quite consistent over time, chronologically always consistent, but some parts of his story was slightly at odds with the photographs themselves. This prompted the chief investigator of the CUN, Roberto Pinotti, to insist that he needs to look at the photographic material in good conditions, first to elucidate some points, and also because CUN thought that the witness should have the right to manage his material. Indeed, in an unprecedented and utterly unexplainable manner, the magistracy of Ascoli Piceno had seized and confiscated the photographs from Caponi, and started a judicial procedure against Caponi under the never heard of motive that his photograph might disturb the civil peace. Because of this confiscation, CUN could only analyze them visually but not instrumentally.

But does it show a puppet or an alien from outer space? The video, purportedly capturing proof of alien life, was released this morning during a press conference at the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria campus in downtown Denver. Over the course of three minutes or so, the footage shows a white creature with a balloon-shaped head that keeps popping up and down in a windowsill that was 8 feet above ground. The face was white, with large black eyes that seemed to blink. "If it was a puppet, it would be a very elaborate and sophisticated puppet," said Alejandro Rojas, education director of MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network, who spoke at the press conference. Rojas said the video was taken on July 17, 2003, in Nebraska by Stan Tiger Romanek, who set up the camera because he thought peeping Toms had been looking into his house at his two teenage daughters. Romanek did not appear at the news conference. The creature would slowly pop its head up and peer through the window then drop suddenly down, apparently trying to avoid detection. It raised its head up about a half dozen times. The alien's other body parts were not visible. It was unclear whether the creature was taller than 8 feet and was crouching to avoid detection or whether it was standing on something. It also was difficult, because of the faintness of the object, to tell whether it was three dimensional. Romanek, who moved to Colorado after the recording, claims to have had more than 100 encounters with aliens, Rojas said. One of many websites detailing Romanek's encounters shows photographs of him with red marks on his back and arms that Romanek says were inflicted by aliens. He says he was abducted by extraterrestrials and has posted pictures of spherical burn marks in his yard marking where a spaceship hovered or landed. Since one encounter in which he photographed a UFO on a road trip to Pennsylvania, 44 birds have mysteriously crashed into his car window because of some bizarre electromagnetic effect resulting from the contact, he writes. But Rojas said preliminary research that he and other experts have done on the video suggests that it is authentic. "I don't believe they have the ability or the motivation to fabricate a hoax," Rojas said at the news conference. About 30 journalists were in the room for the screening, including a dozen TV cameras. Photographers were not allowed to capture images from the footage today because experts are still reviewing it, Rojas said. The screening, organized by Denver resident Jeff Peckman, was not open to the public. Peckman says he hopes to provoke debate about the existence of extraterrestrial life. "We believe this will be somewhat of an historic news conference," Peckman said. "We're very pleased to see this level of interest." A documentary is in production that will include much more of the videotape and other evidence, he says. It is due to be released later this year. Peckman has organized an initiative drive to require the city of Denver to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission to handle alien encounters, saying that the government has not disclosed all it knows about the existence of life beyond Earth. During the press conference, Peckman frequently referenced the initiative. A petition drive is currently underway. Peckman needs 4,000 signatures for the item to make it onto the November ballot. Peckman also said the technological benefits of making contact with extraterrestrials make it a very worthwhile endeavor. Governments and industry giants have an incentive to keep a growing body of evidence of the existence of aliens hushed up, Peckman said, because the technology they could bring eclipses anything available on Earth."

Hailing straight out of the mean side of the Bronx, Kool Keith has redefined the conventional hip hop styles and introduced a warped, bizarre take on the genre. Always one to court controversy, Kool Keith records under many guises, often confusing and surprising his audience. Kool Keith's early career and lyrics with the Ultramagnetic MCs often made use of his growing reputation as a somewhat unstable character, and onetime patient of Bellevue, a psychiatric hospital, where he was treated for depression. Teaming up with Dan "the Automator" Nakamura under the name Dr. Octagon, Keith again reinvented his image, recording the self-titled 'Dr. Octagon' album (later reissued under the title 'Dr. Octagonecologys't) that was released by Mo' Wax. Finally, back again to shock and thrill us after years out in the wilderness, Dr. Octagon, goes straight for the jugular with the release of his highly anticipated new album, 'The Return of Dr. Octagon'. Spliced and diced together by the man, Kool Keith, himself and slickly produced by clued up production trio, One Watt Sun, this looks set for some playlist domination. The One Watt Sun collective, (consisting of John, Ben and Simon) were brought on as the producers. They recorded 'The Return of Dr. Octagon' in a twelfth century turret in the old quarter of Prague, as well as Byron Bay and Melbourne in Australia, and also at One Watt Sun's current studio space in Berlin. Their musical style as showcased via the new Dr Octagon record is like a morphing twisted intelligent organism, an animal yet to be named. They enlisted the additional talents of DJ Dexter (the Avalanches) for the Egyptian scratch flavour of Ants and Princess Superstar who features on the song ''Eat It'.
