This song is loosely based on my experiences in Sumatra, and is meant to be impressionistic rather than about actual events.
Minang culture is unusual in the Muslim world in being a matrilineal society, so the women tend to be very powerful. It seems to be a moderate form of Islam, where the emphasis is on resolving conflict through negotiation rather than confrontation.
There are obviously cultural inaccuracies in the song and, if I get too much criticism, I might do a rewrite. For example, I had a great time with Karo people (around Berastagi) and no doubt some of that has got mixed in with the very different Minangkabau experience. And, of course, some people I met in West Sumatra would have been immigrants from other parts of Indonesia.

| Building the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona 426 - 152 sec
This is the build process of the aerodynamic (esp compared to the opposition) AMT 1/25 scale 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. And yes, its the third Mopar in a row - the next models up here will be Japanese...
The Daytona was Dodge's 1969 Nascar weapon, with which it generally outdid everyone else, particularly as it had an aerodynamic nose section - making the car a fair amount longer - and a wing more suitable to a plane... It was generally unstoppable, particularly as it utilized drum brakes all round!!!
Due to outdoing the competition the car was soon outlawed by Nascar, but not before Plymouth did a 'twin', the Superbird, which despite its similar looks, did not share any bodyparts with the Daytona apart from the headlamp buckets!
This car's paintscheme was done intentionally to resemble the car from "Joe Dirt", albeit how it would look restored - Shown also in the vid is a General Lee that was done several years back - aside from the obvious differences the two kits were VERY similar to build - well they were the same car to begin with!!!

Hemi Engine History
A Chrysler Hemi engine is one of three different internal combustion engine families from the Chrysler Corporation that are Hemi engines; in other words, they utilize a hemispherical combustion chamber. A hemispherical cylinder head allows the valves to be inline rather than side-by-side, which gives a straighter, simpler airflow path, allows large valves, and gives greater efficiency. The hemi design places the sparkplug in the center, giving more even ignition.
The advantages of the hemi cylinder head come at the disadvantage of requiring intake and exhaust valve stems that point in different directions, requiring much more complicated rocker arm setups in overhead valve engines. These also increase the space taken up by the cylinder head; Hemi engines are not space-efficient.
The hemispherical head designed engines were the first engines in 1964 to officially use the "Hemi" name, a word Chrysler trademarked. All Chrysler Hemi engines of the 1960s displaced 426 in³ (7.0 L). Although just 11,000 Hemi engines were produced for consumer sale, the engine became legendary, with "Hemi" becoming one of the most familiar automobile-related words in the United States. The 426 Hemi was nicknamed the "elephant engine" at the time, a reference to its far-from-compact dimensions and extraordinary power.
