Present-day Spaniards = celtiberians predominantly, with other indo-european influences. (mainly 2: different germanic tribes (ie visigoths) & ancient italic tribes (ie etruscans), from the times of the Visigoth kingdom and the Roman Empire).
This song in particular is from a band from Asturias, Northern Spain.

A deadly mine blast in central China. Three miners are dead and 26 more are still missing. Rescue workers are continuing efforts to save the miners trapped in a coal mine in Shaanxi Province.
STORY:
36 men were working in the pit when a coal mine gas explosion occurred at the Yaotou mine in Chengcheng county, Shaanxi Province Wednesday. Seven managed to escape.
The state-owned mine was closed earlier in the month for repairs. A state-run news agency quoted a mine worker saying that the repair work was still unfinished on the night of the blast.
According to the report, 27 miners were trapped and one killed in two other mine accidents which also took place on Wednesday. Both of these accidents were caused by flooding. Rescue work is also underway.
China has the most dangerous coal-mining industry in the world and its attitude to accidents have often come under criticism. Nearly 3,800 coal miners died in gas blasts, flogging and other accidents last year alone. Companies often ignore safety regulations in a rush to feed the demand from the economy.

Another coal mining accident in China to tell you about. 17 miners are trapped in an underground mine in the city of Yuzhou in Henan Province. Here's more on the story.
STORY:
On Sunday sixty-two miners were working underground when their pit was flooded with water. 38 miners managed to escape by themselves and another seven were rescued. It is the latest in a string of accidents to plague China -- home to the world's deadliest coal-mining industry.
As water was pumped out of the pit, gas fumes also began to rise... making rescue work more difficult and dangerous.
A string of explosions at coal mines across the country, in recent days, have killed dozens of Chinese miners and left a number of them missing.
China is the world's largest producer and consumer of coal. In 2007 alone, approximately 3,800 Chinese coal miners died in gas blasts, flooding, and other related accidents.

And it's more bad news out of China today. On the heels of earthquakes and floods, a mine blast in China's northeastern Shanxi Province has taken the lives of 27 people and seven more people are trapped inside.
STORY:
Friday's explosion happened in the Anxin Coal Mining facility while 58 miners were working underground.
A report said "explosives" blew up at the bottom of the mine shaft, but it was not clear why the explosives were there, or why they exploded. Fifteen of the 58 miners had managed to escape, and another nine were rescued, leaving almost 30 dead and seven unaccounted for.
China has the world's deadliest mining industry, and is also the world's biggest producer and consumer of coal. Last year nearly 4,000 Chinese coal miners died in gas blasts, flooding and other accidents.
Safety violations are a major contributor to mine accidents in China, because owners often push production beyond safety limits to make more money.

For the Long Way Down Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman have travelled from John O'Groats, Scotland, down through Africa to the most southern point of South Africa -- Cape Agulhas. As with the Long Way Round, they stopped off along the way to visit UNICEF projects to raise awareness and funds for children.
In Ethiopia, Ewan and Charley visited mine awareness projects supported by UNICEF. They met with children who have lost limbs in mine accidents and have witnessed for themselves how important it is that children are aware of the dangers from mines.
Ewan and Charley also met a girl who is one of the first to receive a UNICEF mobility cycle, these help disabled children to lead normal lives, such as enabling them to get to school and continue their education.
