Ciudades de Interés:
Mérida exhibe varios de los más importantes monumentos romanos de España. Aparte de su colosal teatro romano, conserva un anfiteatro, dos acueductos y un puente romano, sin olvidar el Museo de Arte Romano que alberga piezas de valor inestimable.
Cáceres

Badajoz
La capital de la Baja Extremadura conserva una Alcazaba almohade y algunos restos de las murallas y torres vigías que completaban la defensa ésta, una catedral y una plaza de estilo mudéjar, la Plaza Alta.

Madrid, a parte de ser la capital de España, es también comunidad autónoma, constando de una sola provincia. El ocio está también garantizado a través de una amplia oferta de teatros, operas, zarzuelas y conciertos a lo largo de todo el año, en numerosas instalaciones deportivas o en su efervescente vida nocturna.
Fuera del cinturón de la gran ciudad nos encontramos con la auténtica provincia de Madrid, con bellísimos paisajes montañosos y bosques. En ella hay 4 centros de atracción turística de primer orden; Alcalá de Henares, Aranjuez, San Lorenzo del Escorial y Chinchón junto con otros de importancia menor, pero no por ello de poco atractivo.
Alcalá de Henares:
A 30 km. de Madrid nos encontramos con esta antigua ciudad universitaria de gran tradición cultural que alcanzó su máximo esplendor en el Renacimiento. En ella merecen la pena visitar la Universidad, de fachada plateresca, fundada por el Cardenal Cisneros en 1498, y dentro de ella el Paraninfo, Patio Trilingüe y Patio de Santo Tomás de Villanueva.
Asimismo destacan sus murallas del s. XV, la Iglesia Magistral del s. XV, el Convento de las Bernardas, del s. XVII, y la Casa de Cervantes (donde vivió el insigne autor).
A sus afueras se pueden visitar yacimientos prehistóricos, romanos y visigóticos.
Chinchón
A 50 Km. de Madrid. Es un pintoresco y bellísimo pueblo medieval con sus calles empedradas, famoso por su Plaza Mayor porticada, donde se celebran corridas de toros y representaciones teatrales.
Merecen la pena visitar las Ruinas del Castillo del s. XV y un cuadro de Goya en la Iglesia Parroquial. La localidad tiene a su vez gran fama por la producción de famosos anisados.
El Escorial
En San Lorenzo del Escorial, a 50 Km. de Madrid, se encuentra uno de los monasterios más conocidos del mundo.
Esta gigantesca construcción fue erigida por orden de Felipe II, para panteón real. La obra tardó 21 años y en ella trabajaron Juan Bautista de Toledo y Juan de Herrera, quien introdujo su característico estilo exento de decoración interior y exterior.
En el merecen mención especial la Capilla Mayor, el Panteón de los reyes, Salón del Trono, los museos en el palacio de verano de Felipe II y la Casita del Príncipe.
