the water cube in preparation for the 2008 beijing olympics
i had the opportunity to attend the good luck beijing 2008 swimming china open at the newly unveiled watercube (that is, the national aquatics center) right next to the bird's nest (or the national stadium) at the olympic green. the general area is still under construction as the rush is on for the final stretch of preparation, but the building itself is very impressive and i had a ball taking pictures and enjoying the competition.
i arrived at twilight and the combination of sky and the building made everything so blue! then, while i was leaving, i noticed that if i blink my eyes really fast, the blue alternates with a shade of violet/red. coooool.....
