I first posted this about 2 years ago, it's my own edit from the entire televised Gainsbourg tribute concert.
The concert took place on 31 March 2006 and featured artists covering Gainsbourg songs, shortly following the release of the covers album 'Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited'.
Jarvis & Kid Loco cover Gainsbourg's 1973 song, "Je suis venu te dire que je m'en vais" as 'I Just Came to Tell You That I'm Going'. English lyrics by Jarvis Cocker. (In my opinion, a highlight on an otherwise dull tribute album).

I posted this video originally a couple of years ago and it was the first time it appeared on YouTube. Because I had to start a new channel, my videos don't have the same 'age' on them others do, so the seemingly 'older' ones attract more comments.
But I would love if, as in the past, people could once again add info and comments on my videos. Spiked Candy aims to always put as much info on the web about yé-yé and French pop, so it would be great if viewers could regard my channel as a hub to help get more info out there.
Here, I'd love someone to post the lyrics and the missing, implied words (and hopefully an English translation), as happened in the past.
