This version of King's Quest VI utilizes a 640x480 resolution, twice that of the 320x240 resolution in the DOS version. The main improvements over the DOS version are smooth, better drawn images of the icon bar, inventory items, and closeups on the characters faces.
Unfortunately, there is a problem with my copy, in which MIDI (music) notes often suspend if played during the start or end of voice recordings. Even though there is a method to halt suspended notes once they occur, it can only be used at certain times, before which the notes can become very annoying.
This will be a more exhaustive exploration of the game, rather than a direct walkthrough. Therefore, while the preview is almost an entire half hour, I did not get very far into the game because I spent so much time clicking on everything. Don't worry. Even though I will continue to beat each screen to death in this manner, and consequently take 1.5 hours to get off the Isle of the Crown, I expect the full playthrough to not exceed the 6-8 hour range. Since rotating all three pieces clockwise or counterclockwise gives the same image only rotated, I think we can divide Arthur's 1728 by 3 and get 576 combinations.
Furthermore, the lower right image has a face that is rotationally symmetric. According to my calculations, this takes away an additional 96 combinations, leaving us with 480 possibilities.
This is also true of a face on the top artifact. This takes away yet another 96 possibilities, but we need to add 16 back in for double counting, so that leaves us with 400 possibilities.

The exact opposite is true of the Legacy. In Atlantis and El Dorado, the Gaealith and Totem were kept deep in inner temples, but in Shagri-La, the Lotus was hidden at the top of the Temple tower.
