In 2004, Massafera won the Miss Paraná Beauty pageant contest, and represented the state in that year's Miss Brasil contest. In 2005, she took part in the fifth season of the Brazilian version of the reality show Big Brother, known as Big Brother Brasil (BBB).The season was the most-watched season ever and Grazi was one of the most charismatic on the show. She was know for being honest, with a good heart and for eating nonstop and still maintaining her thin and glamorous shape. Alan was a very unpopular contestant but after start dating Grazi on the reality show he became very popular. Grazi ended in second, with 40% of the votes.

Grazi, with her stunning looks and good personality, became the second Big Brother to become a real celebrity (first one being Sabrina Sato). After the show, she ended up on covers of numerous magazines and had several commercial deals and appeared in lots of events. Surprisingly, commercial deals and covers continued, even after the next Big Brother started (by the time the next Big Brother started, all constestants of the previous seasons are already usually forgotten).
Right after the show, Grazi signed a 1-year contract with Globo, Brazil's most powerful channel. She soon started working as a reporter on the successful Saturday afternoon teen show Caldeirão do Huck. At the time, Globo was planning to transform Grazi in the "new Xuxa", thinking about a children's show for her.
She also posed nude for Brazilian Playboy. Different from the American version, A-listers in Brazil usually accept posing naked for the magazine. Grazi was one of their highest-paid stars to pose in Playboy. Her photoshoot was much less risque than usual. She showed almost nothing, which made the edition highly critcized. Even though the photos of the prude shoot leaked on the internet, the Grazi edition of Playboy sold twice what a typical edition would sell.

She frequently talked about her dreams of becoming an actress and she started acting classes at Globo acting departament. Her first starring role was Renato Aragao 2005 movie: Didi, o Caçador de Tesouros. Renato Aragão (Didi) releases annually a family movie and his movies are usually among the most-watched movies every years.
At the beginning of 2006 was revealed Grazil would get a part in the respected writer Manuel Carlos next soap. She would only do a small participation onRede Globo soap opera, Páginas da Vida, which during it's airing was the #1 show on Brazilian television, achieving record ratings. However, due to her popularity, her part was expanded, and eventually became one of the main characters of the soap. Her acting was acclaimed by the press and the public alike and she became one of the biggest celebrities in the country. For her acting, she received a Prêmio Contigo as best newcomer and a Prêmio de Imprensa as personality of the year.
Her May 2007 cover of Boa Forma magazine was her 134th cover since 2005. She also stole the spotlight when she participated in the parade of one of the most prestigious Samba schools in Rio Carnival in the 2007 carnival. In Easter she played Maria in the theatrical version of "The Passion of Christ".
She dated Alan, one of her fellow ex-Big Brother contestants. Right after the show, he was also a big celebrity and the two of them starred several advertising campaigns together. But soon after, he star faded while she continued a huge celebrity. Their relationship ended in April 2007. Soon after, Grazi visited Portugal where she was also very popular because of her role in Páginas da Vida and shot commercials.
Grazi will possibly star in Globo's next 6 PM soap Milagre de Amor. She recently renewed her exclusivity contract with Globo and tripled her salary.
She is currently dating actor Cauã Raymond.

Maria Ozawa (小澤マリア, Ozawa Maria?), also known as Miyabi (みやび, Miyabi?) (born January 8, 1986), is a popular Japanese AV idol.
Like AV idols Tina Yuzuki & Anna Ohura, Maria Ozawa is of mixed-race parentage. Her mother is Japanese and her father is French-Canadian,[2] which gives her a look that has been described as "a perfect balance of Japanese beauty mixed with a dash of exoticism."[2] Since she attended an international school from primary school to high school, she claims that her English reading and writing ability is better than her Japanese.[3] Despite her international background, in interviews Ozawa expresses a preference for Asian sexual and romantic partners. She was then signed by the S1, an AV company that produces light hardcore pornography, premiering for them as Maria Ozawa on October 7, 2005 with the video New Face.[7] Ozawa remembers that she was so nervous during the filming of her first AV that she could not look the male actor in the face.[3]
At S1, Ozawa subsequently appeared in one original video per month until February 2007. She has also participated in several S1 compilation videos including the company's entry in 2006 AV Open, a competition between Japanese pornographic studios that aims deciding which studio can produce the highest selling video. The video that featured Maria Ozawa, among other AV idols Sora Aoi, Yua Aida, Yuma Asami, and Rin Aoki won the first place. Maria Ozawa and S1 parted ways in early 2007. Along with Rin Suzuka, Reina Matsushima and Rin Aoki, she moved from the safe, but popular S1 to a new startup company, Dasdas (DAS). On April 25, 2007, Dasdas released the first videos of the company, among which is a video featuring Maria Ozawa. Dasdas videos contain scenes of rape, creampie, urolagnia, enema and physical torture, themes not featured in the light hardcore style of her S1 videos. By the end of 2007, she signed to Attackers (アタッカーズ), an established AV studio that specialises in thematic rape pornography.
Besides adult videos, she has appeared in V-Cinema films, a photobook and several glamour ("gravure") videos. She has also appeared on Japanese MTV,[2] and in Yokohama hip hop group DS455's music video for the song "Summer Time in the D.S.C.".
During a 2007 interview, Ozawa reported that her interest in the AV industry remains high, and her video cabinet contains nothing but AVs. She makes a good living from the industry, living in a mansion (a high-class apartment) with a US$ $1,682-per-month rent, and earning a minimum of $8,000 per month.[4] However, while she says that she would quit the industry only if she is forced to do something else, she would try to prevent a friend from beginning work in the AV industry.[4] Ozawa's family and friends are against her chosen profession, in spite of her apparent pride in her work. When she brought several of her videos home to show her parents, they refused to watch them and told her to leave.
