| Ice Hockey: Canada v. England (1930) - 69 sec
An ice hockey international between Canada and England (possibly Great Britain), played at Chamonix in 1930.
The World Championships of that year were held at Chamonix, Vienna and Berlin. As Canada was such a dominant force at the time, they were given a direct bye to the final in Berlin, and the preceeding tournament was conducted solely to determine who would challenge them.
Before defeating Germany 6-1 in the final match, Canada is said to have played two friendlies, one against Austria in Vienna, and another against Czechoslovakia in Berlin. Although I can find no mention of this match anywhere, my hypothesis is that this video shows an earlier friendly match, held at Chamonix, thereby completing the Canadian squad's tour of the three host cities.
