Ok, this wasn't how I planned it, but I managed to get in ALL four Cross Country HST sets on Saturday 19th July 2008.

| 43301 Cross Country HST Power Car First Run through NTA - 129 sec
So, here is the new liveried Power Car from Cross Country trains.
43301 was originally 43101, but has been out of traffic for around 5 years before its overhaul (or restoration looking at some of the pictures) and fitment of the new MTU engine
43104 brings up the rear in excellent style!!

Best watched in HIGH quality
Here is the action from South Devon, of 43184s last weekend in traffic.
Unfortunately, 184 is going in the be overhauled, having it Valenta Engine replaced by the MTU!
This power car has been a regular sight on the Cross Country Summer Shedules, heading through Devon, into Cornwall on the Arriva Cross Country services.
This was its final visit as 43184.......

| Devon Valenta Action with 43053 and 43056 - 106 sec
Hired in to cover the summer cross country route, Manchester - Newquay - Manchester, NatEx Power cars, 053 and 056 take this train on 12th July 2008.
056 is seen leading 1V29, alongside the River Teign, towards Newton Abbot.
053 is then seen powering up whilst entering Newton Abbot on the return working, 1M28

| MTU''d HST Throbbing noise - 78 sec
Ok, there has been ALOT of debate about Valenta versus MTU engined HSTs.
Whilst waiting for the Deltic to return, we heard this coming from miles away, climbing out of Totnes.
I quite like the deep throb of the MTU engine, ok it isn't as thrashy and screamy as the Valents, but hey, THE HST still lives on...........

WHAT A BEAST!!
Deltic on The Cornish Explorer
First time i have seen a Deltic on the mainline.
WHAT a noise, LOVE IT!!
Couldn't decide where to go to see it this morning, so eventually decided to go to Dainton.
Wanted to get the return shot at Combefishacre, but on going to see the farmers, he is no longer allowing people into his field as he has let it out now.
Anyways, after walking a bit, found this next shot on the way up dainton to the tunnel

This was one the Saturday, 21st June.
Seen here is a Heavy Stone train of over 1000tonnes, being hauled by USA S160, 5197 and 9F Back Prince, 92203.
Not only was it hauling the loaded stone wagons, but also the dead Yeoman Shunter, no 44, Western Yeoman II.

| DRS Tractor sets off car alarms!! - 73 sec
DRS Class 37s, 37612 and 37611, took the test train from Exeter to Plymouth.
It stopped at Newton Abbot to let a service train overtake, then headed off to plymouth.
On departure the thrash set off car alarms in the car park!!
Although it says it sparks on the video title screen, you cant really make it out much on here!!
