April Ain't Fooling Me - 160 sec
I don't know if rokgod Dion Rains is interested in using Youtube anymore. He sure liked this video the first time around. I re-uploaded it. His video of this song, his original song, is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1pRW7BlxXw I added drums and simple accompaniment piano to the original video previously made by rokgod. It took longer to key in these drum tracks than it did to do the piano part. The keyboard (piano playing) is what I put into this video since that's the video of when I played this track.

Welcome to the Internets - 163 sec
Live it, Love it, Click Favorite Laptop speakers or thin-sounding monitor speakers aren't going to do it for this tune. Without speakers which will supply some thundah, you're missing the whole bottom half of this song. Welcome to the Internets It's fantastic Wear your thickest skin In case you'd like to see the Special Olympics video where "It's Fantastic" came from, someone has uploaded it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Y9k-U67FNg song and video by me, John David Briley I wish I had known about Technoviking when I made this video. It does have a little Sifl and Ollie influence. Sockpuppets are everywhere. jaydavee Youtube profile

Aguilar OBP-1 Bass Guitar Preamp - 183 sec
I installed an Aguilar OBP 1 onboard bass guitar preamp based on the 2 volume, 2 tone control schematic. I had it wired with a blend pot. I tried 2 different blend pots. Two volumes just works better than a vol and blend on any bass with passive pickups regardless of the preamp. With 18db of boost on each band, turn the tone controls all the way down to start. That's a ton of boost on each band. You'll probably never turn either one up past halfway. Use 25k pots for the active tone controls. 500k or 250k potentiometers are for passive circuits... 500k volume knobs on passive pickups, for example. No capacitors needed. Tone pots do not need to have lugs grounded. jaydavee videos are by John David Briley

Audio Patchbay Explained - What'chu say? - 528 sec
What a patchbay does, what a patchbay does not do, and how to set one up. The front and back panels, the three modes: Normal, Through and Half-Normal. See what patchbays are for in this video, so you can determine if you want one. A patchbay is a useful thing in recording even if you're one guy with a computer daw recording system... with or without a mixing console. They're great for people who have multiple instruments if you are tired of always unhooking the main cables to play other instruments through amps or mixer channels. The only downside is: it doubles the amount of cables since you are using the patchbay as a splicer for each cable. What you would do with one cable is done with 1 in and 1 out cable when a patchbay is involved. It's usually worth it to have a permanent setup and all of those open ins and outs on the front panel for extra options. A patchbay requires no power supply or batteries, so you only have to turn on the equipment you want to use, and those patchbay connections will work just like cable splicers, splitters or adapters would. jaydavee videos are by John David Briley
