1. First, you need the batch files to perform the Shutdown, Hibernate etc. You can write them down yourselves or can download them from here.
2. Extract them to your C:\ drive so the path to the shutdown batch file is C:\sms_functions\shutdown.bat (Important this is a must the path must be exact) or you can modify the rule once you import it to point to the new destination, it's your call.
3. Open up Microsoft Outlook. Make sure that you have already configured it for your email.Now we will need to make it so that Outlook checks your inbox about every minute (1 minute for testing time can be increased if a delayed shutdown is desired). You can do this by going to Tools: Options.
4. Then click the Mail Setup tab, and afterwards, the Send/Receive button.
5. Make sure that the Schedule an automatic send/receive every... box is checked, and set the number of minutes to 1. Now you may close all of these dialog boxes.
6. Now go to Tools: Rules and Alerts... Next click the options button in the upper right hand corner and press the Import Rules button.
7. Now select the shutdown.rwz file that was found in the zip file named sms_functions that you downloaded (the one taken from the original source).
8. Now, when you send a message from your phone to your e-mail address with the subject smsshutdown%%, your computer will shutdown.

I finally got a new Microphone for recording tutorials, and other videos. It connects to my Canon HV20 using the Advanced Accessory Shoe, as well as my computer using a standard 3.5mm Microphone Slot.
It connects onto my new Manfrotto Tripod so I can stand it up behind my computer pointing at me, and also has a noise reduction feature which I will use in my videos also.

After watching the Matrix Trilogy once again the other day I was inspired to create a Compilation of the best parts from each of the films. I was going to make it one video but decided because there was so many awesome parts I will make one for each movie.
This took around an hour to edit, not long and wasn't meant to be added with cool effects or anything, just a video showing off the best of the Matrix since there were many awesome slow/fast motion scenes and fight scenes.
You also may notice a few frame drops/jitters, I had a lot of problems rendering and then had to render in to 5 separate parts and it was a handful getting it all to work but when I did there were a few problems, jut ignore them.

Only requires masking, feathering, and keyframing included in Sony Vegas. This effect approximately takes 15 minutes for a good result.
Can be done in Sony Vegas, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

This is another action movie the crew at Dillonp23 Productions has put together, more action packed, fight scenes, suspense and length than our previous quite popular film 'Rush'd Hour'.
This one took around 7 filming days (half were only 1 hour filming days after school). The film is actually not 100% completed, with a few loose ends due to lack of time, weather conditions, actors being sick/busy etc. Enjoy the movie as what it is, and not what it could of been.
This was another unscripted, and barely planned movie, so most is on the spot and for no planning in advanced this turned out alright.
The next film we make will be fully planned out, start to finish with a lot more talking, a better storyline and we will even write up a storyboard so it is all planned out. A matter in fact we are starting the story now and may film next holidays!
Thanks for all the actors for showing up, I know it was bloody freezing some of the days and annoying filming so many days but it was well worth it.

New in Australia, I have heard it was out in the USA already, sorry about that.
Google has released a new feature for Google Maps allowing you too look around as if you were standing at the location. You can pan around 360 degrees, virtually move around the streets and even zoom in and out.
Type in your location then click on the 'street view' link to bring it up. It is a very simple to use feature, with amazing possibilities. I use this a lot to find good locations to film movies in, but this can be used in the wrong way as well.
Sometime number plates, people, cars and houses can be clearly seen causing a concern of privacy. This feature hopefully will stay up but if not make the most of it now.

Today I bought a new $300.00 Tripod and love it. Didn't do an unboxing but instead I did a smashing of my old one. Sorry I filmed with my old camera and didn't use the new one.

The new tripod I got is a Manfrotto 190xdb http://tinyurl.com/newtripod and so far is a steady, good quality tripod. A lot better than I expected.

It's finally here, the new short action film by Dillon Pearce and his Crew. It was filmed with my new Canon HV20 and I will upload high quality (.mov so you will need quicktime) version of it on my website once it is finished. I bought a $200 microphone and a wide angle lens for my camera but haven't received them yet unfortunately.
The script we originally had planned didn't quite work out since some actors couldn't make it, so we needed to make one up on the spot a little. We ended getting one done and just need more time to film. At this moment there is 3 days left until school and I am busy all of the days working so might need to finish on the weekend so may not be up for a few weeks.
I was filming 90% of it, so there will be more camera moves and makes the video more interesting.
Hope you enjoy the movie, and straight after this one we will plan the next one which will guaranteed be more professional and a better since we will have a full script including a storyboard and rehearse the scenes more.

This is a school assignment for the end of the term. We went to the City in Melbourne for 5 days (had to catching a train there and back each day) and visited some amazing places in Melbourne.
We went to Syn FM and had the chance the host our own radio show (I was the Board Operater, fading in the music etc which was pretty fun). Visit the Magistrates Court, Parliament House, MCG, Botanical Gardens, Eureka Tower and a few other cool places.
The Eureka Tower is the tallest residential building in the world and the tallest building in Melbourne. I enjoyed filming this awesome experience in the City and hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.

To do the express elevator hack simply hold down the level you want to go to as well as the close button for five seconds. To stop an escalator from working pull the black rail the opposite way and that will stop the escalator.
