When the tornado warned bow echo arrived. Power gets knocked out across the street at :12...the 60mph winds hit about 1:00 knocking items off my shelf and sending rain flying through the window. Damage around this area was light compared to others with only downed tree limbs to 3" and a few signs being blown over. 2 brief tornadoes did occur in the area suburbs of Bollingbrook and Bloomingdale.

| Tornado crossing I-57 6-7-08 - 131 sec
Clip 2 of the same tornado crossing I-57. Moderate damage was noted and a semi truck and SUV were flipped over. I was actually near mile marker 335, not 355, luckily they knew where I was already talking about.
The tornado itself transitions from a classic cone to a multi vortex wedge, at that point the stopped cars dont realize its still on the ground and actually start driving towards it, but clearly you can see separate vorticies reaching the ground within the broader circulation.

Core punching the storm on 6-7-08. This storm produced a tornado shortly after this. The striated meso was the most incredible structure Ive seen in Illinois. Good lightning strikes too. Core punching is very dangerous and one should never attempt it without knowing what theyre doing.

The mile marker was actually 335, not 355. This was corrected instantly on the phone.

Chasing near Clarksdale, MS we noticed a whole series of power flashes. Unfortunatley most of them occured when my camera was off, but I managed to catch one, this could be a possible rain wrapped tornado, tho its hard to say for sure.

A good one for the gustnado/tornado debate. Given proximity to the storm it would appear as a gustnado...but the funnel like lowering directly above it WAS rotating. Then poor Matt struggles with the strong outflow/RFD winds.
