"I think I'm more hurt than I am mad that my life didn't mean a damn thing to them," said Jones, after hearing the tape played back to her for the first time. Jones had called for help after an ex-boyfriend assaulted and threatened her. 911 officials told Nashville's NewsChannel 5 that the staffer who took the call "was a trainee who was [later] fired ... not for the comment, but for flunking his final exam."
